Asakusa is well known for it's historical atmosphere and Buddhist temples. The area attracts many tourists and worshippers to the various buildings and temples that date back into Japanese history. Of particular note are Sensoji Temple and Kaminarimon Gate, but exploring the less-travelled side streets and alleyways is well worth your time.
