Get an eagle's eye view from the 45th floor

Your ticket is good all day, so you can go back and see the night view

That's the glass wall of the elevator going up the side there

From close up under the entrance

Looking north-east

Looking north-west, with the castle and surrounding park

Looking straight down at the station rotary

There are seats to rest on while you admire the view

Looking west, through the elevator window and glass wall

And one more neck-strainer from the other side of the tracks

Dominating the skyline of Hamamatsu, ACT City is its tallest building by a good distance. On the 45th floor there's an observatory from which you can admire the city and surrounding scenery, from the ocean to the south to the mountains inland. Tickets cost ¥500 and are valid for the whole day, so you can go there in the morning for the panorama, then go back after dark in the evening to see the city lights.
