Yokohama's waterfront transforms into a citywide stage during the Yokohama Music Harbor event, a two day celebration that fills the harbor with live performances, DJs, cruises, and creative pop ups. Centered around the Minato Mirai 21 district, the festival brings together local artists, major venues, and unique mobility experiences under the theme of becoming one of the world's most attractive music harbors.
One of the highlights is the free live stage set beneath the iconic Cosmo Clock 21 at Yokohama Cosmo World. Artists with ties to the city perform throughout the weekend, creating an open air concert atmosphere against the sparkling skyline.
Music also spills into unexpected places across the city. Inside the ticket gates at Bashamichi Station, a DJ live turns the concourse into a club-like space in collaboration with Billboard Live YOKOHAMA. In addition, luxury hotels such as Hilton Yokohama and Hyatt Regency Yokohama host stylish lounge nights with panoramic views of the bay.
Out on the water, special performances take place aboard the cruise ship Marine Rouge and the Seabass Ace, blending sea breezes with live saxophone and DJ sets. Even transportation becomes part of the fun, with live music buses, circular fuel cell buses, and a pedal powered beer bike connecting venues.
